• Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, is a charming city known for its festivals, thriving arts scene, food, and proximity to beautiful beaches and wine regions.
• Take a day trip to Kangaroo Island (about 1.5 hours by ferry) to explore its wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas, and sea lions. If beaches are more your thing, Glenelg Beach is the most popular and easily accessible beach. Adelaide is also near some of the world’s best wine regions, including the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and Clare Valley.
• Board the Indian Pacific for a 3-day/2-night journey from Adelaide, across the vast Nullarbor Plain to Perth, on the west coast.
• Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, is known for its laid-back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, vibrant arts scene, and unique attractions.
• Ending your trip in Perth gives you the option of taking a direct flight home. Travel in Spring (September to November) or Autumn (March to May) for milder weather, comfortable for travelling long distances and ideal for exploring.
